As a social studies teacher and lover of everything history, a short historical analysis of my life is as follows:
I was born and raised in Orofino, Idaho. Iattended both University of Idaho and Lewis Clark State College. My first career was not in education, but in banking and I spent seven years in that field until earning my Idaho real estate license and selling real estate for the following 7 years. I then earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Studies, Secondary Education from LCSC in 2001. I taught for a year at the Alternative High School, served a year teaching at Idaho Department of Corrections-Orofino through the AmeriCorps program, and worked the next year as an aide at the Jr. High School before securing a full-time teaching position at Orofino High School. I was honored by being named the 2013-14 IEA Member of the Year. I am the mother of a son who also graduated from Orofino High School and is currently pursuing a teaching degree in Science from LCSC. Outside of school, I enjoy attending various sporting events, spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping, and most of all traveling.
